GROCERY BAGGING
We are continuing the service project to donate groceries and bag them for families in the community who need some immediate help. At the March meeting, we filled more than 12 bags for needy in our local community and sent several boxes of extra items to Sunnyside for their food pantry. We enjoyed hearing Lonnie Ashby’s personal safety tips at the March meeting.
Into each grocery bag we’ll place the following items each month we meet:
•peanut butter
•jelly
•saltine crackers
•canned meat (tuna, chicken, vienna sausage)
•macaroni and cheese
•spaghetti
•pasta sauce (Ragu)
•Nabs (Lance)
•instant coffee
•canned fruit
•granola bars
•canned vegetables
•instant noodles (Ramen)
Feel free to take one of the lists attached to the senior bulletin board in the commons area so that you might collect groceries to donate.
