A nursery is provided for all church wide-events. Children always receive special attention at New Philadelphia. Each week we mix paid nursery workers with volunteers. Our paid workers are trusted friends who provide a familiar face to the children week after week. The volunteers insure that nothing important is overlooked simply because things have become so comfortable.
Our nurseries are located on the main hall just steps from our sanctuary. Enter the building from the new Fellowship Hall and walk toward the sanctuary. You can’t miss them. When checking a child into one of our nurseries, parents receive a wireless transmitter. This allows us to notify you within seconds in the rare event that a child has become ill, or otherwise requires your attention.
A nursery is available every Sunday morning between 8:30 a.m. and 12:20 p.m. This allows parents to attend either worship service, and Sunday School. In addition a nursery is available at all services and events that are for the whole congregation. Groups like Sunday School Classes are responsible for setting up a nursery for individual events. Please contact our DCE, Evie Blum, for contact information for our paid nursery workers.
All children are a precious responsibility! We will continue to do all that we can to make the church a safe and welcoming place for those who are entrusted to our care.
