The Gathering!

What is it?  An alternative worship and fellowship experience.

When is it?  Every Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m.

Where is it?  It begins in the Banquet Room (near the Fellowship Hall) but it sometimes ends up… anywhere!

Who should attend?  Anyone! Everyone! (So far the ages of people attending has ranged from 5 to 91 and there has been something for all of them.)

Why should I come to the Gathering?  Because it’s a great opportunity to gather (as the name implies) for a more casual, contemporary and creative time of worship and fellowship (and you never know when there might be refreshments!).

For the remainder of the summer, the Gathering will continue with the OMG series (OLD stories with a MESSAGE that is timeless, GUIDING us today).

This Thursday (July 29) Zach Wright will lead us through the story of Esther. We’ll have an opportunity to gather in small groups and talk about the times when God was present in our lives (even if we didn’t recognize it at the time).

Mission Awareness Festival

Sunday, July 25, 4-6 PM

Olivet Moravian

The Mission Society of the Moravian Church is hosting a festival to spotlight and share about the many Moravian missionaries and missions we support along with other ministries that support mission work.

There will be a hot dog dinner, live music from a provincial band and Sam Gray and family, and lots of information about Moravian missions and missionaries.

In accordance with the CDC and the NC governor’s recommendations masks are optional at this event.

What: Men’s Fellowship Breakfast

When: Friday, July 16 @ 8:00 a.m.

Where: New Philadelphia Moravian Church PAVILION

Simply faith, food, and fellowship! Join us for breakfast and a Laurel Ridge update from our Guest Speaker, Tres Fordham.

Thursday, July 15 @ 7:00 p.m. will be a “Second-Service-Style” Gathering with praise and worship music, an Old story with a timeless Message, prayer and small group interaction…and more!

Thursday, July 22 @ 7:00 p.m. will be a family-focused Gathering that will include an encounter with Moses and Pharaoh some time in the wilderness with the Israelites and good music!

Thursday, July 29 @ 7:00 p.m. will be focused on our youth and young adults (but open to everyone!) This Gathering will be led by Zach Wright (with help from some of our youth).
