Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

“Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who has promised is faithful.  And let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good deeds, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

These words from Hebrews hit hard. Especially the part about “not neglecting to meet together.” Yet our situation is the opposite of the one in Hebrews. It’s not that we are neglecting to meet together, it’s that we aren’t allowed to meet together, though we desperately want to be together.

Sadly, we will not be able to meet together, at least for the near future. In order to comply with the Governor’s Executive Order, we will continue to offer our online only live-stream service at 10:00 a.m. via our Facebook page through May 15. This will include our Holy Week and Easter services. We are working on our specific plans for these special services and will share them as soon as they are finalized.

Even though we can’t meet together, we can still “hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering”. Even though we can’t be together, we can continue “to provoke one another to love and good deeds” Even though we can’t be together, we can still be the church. We still ARE the church.

Don’t hesitate to let us know what you need and how we can help you.

Now may the God of peace, who brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, make you complete in everything good so that you may do his will, working among us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
