The February Open Door Lunch was a real treat. Joey and Cliff made “smoked meatloaf.” The menu also included mixed vegetables, potatoes, rolls, and a desert. Br. Brad Bennett provided the music, and lots of guest enjoyed great conversations. Br. Green brought a brief devotional on the life and lessons of Marconi, the inventor of the wireless telegraph. More than 1800 people attended our two Lovefeasts. Attendance at the first was 1,054. Merry Christmas!
This past October, one of our members was in Star Mountain where the Moravian Church works with disadvantaged children. He recently sent along this picture of a young girl being taught how to iron by a member of the staff. Let us know if you would like to see more. Editor
In late July and early August, Mr. Green was a delegate from the Southern Province (MCSP) to the 2009 Unity Synod of the Moravian Church in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire, UK. He had the opportunity to meet Moravians from around the world. Click here to see a selection of pictures from that gathering, including pictures of leaders from many provinces.
