At 2:00 p.m. on Saturday a number of individuals from New Philadelphia gathered at Sunnyside Ministry to present a check from the Moravian 5K Challenge in the amount of $6,800.48 cents. Br. Tommy Cole (Holding the Left Corner of the Check), director, was on hand to receive the check. Betsy Fraser (2nd from right), the head of the Race Committee made the presentation, accompanied by Kay Adams(Extreme Right), chair of the Moravian Festival, Tim Ward (Back Row Right), representing the board of Cooperative Ministries, David, Cindy (Extreme Left) and Riley Daggett (Kneeling), who worked the Race, David Stanfield (Back Row Left), the treasurer of the Moravian Festival Committee, and Drew Boyett (Holding the Right Corner of the Check) the winner of the Race.

The members of the New Philadelphia Moravian Church are justly proud of the many hours dedicated to this race by Betsy and the members of her committee. It is nice to think that a number of people will sleep warmer, and eat better over the next several months because of their efforts. A special thank-you goes out to all our race volunteers and especially race participants. As Br. David Daggett is heard to say, “Keep on moving!”
