Due to circumstances beyond our control – the Funtastics Trip for March has been POSTPONED!

At 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, the Funtastics will sponsor a guided tour of the Battle for Guilford Courthouse National Military Park.

Our guide will be Clemson Turregano, a faculty member of the Center for Creative Leadership and a retired Army Officer. Clemson has been conducting tours of the Battlefield for over 15 years and guarantees a very informative and fun adventure.

The program will consist of a 30-minute film, a reenactment of the battle using an electronic model of troop movement, a visit to the bookstore and museum, and then a visit to the three battle lines. Among many other things, we will learn to load and fire a Brown Bess musket and a Grasshopper cannon. Clemson ends the afternoon, for those who want to attend, at the Natty Green Brewery where he will treat the group with a round of beverages and continued discussion. Food is available, for a cost, at the brewery.

We will leave the Church at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 21.

Register with the church office by March 18. This event is limited to the first 20 people who register and spots are filling up FAST!
