Fresh New Look, Now Needing a New Name!
Have you had an opportunity to check out the newly renovated “Ladies Parlor” off the Commons-Area? After 30 years, this room needed a makeover, not only in its furnishings and decor, but also in how it functions in our church. The new look of the room was chosen specifically to reflect how the room is used today and how it will be used in the future. These uses include, but aren’t limited to, the following:
• After-Service Visitor Coffees
• Small Gatherings/Receptions
• Lovefeast Diener Preparations
• Ladies Tea
• Between Worship Service Fellowship
• Committee Meetings
• Bible Studies
• Family Funeral Gathering
• Brides/Bridesmaids Dressing
• Alternative Space to View Worship Service
With all these activities, this room has now become a “church-wide” space (versus in the past more of “women’s meeting space”), and as such needs a name that reflects better how it is used and functions in our church.
The Connections Committee would love your help in naming the new space! If you have a suggestion or thought around a new, visitor friendly, easy to remember name for our fresh new space, please let us know; associating the name with Moravian heritage is an idea but not required. We want the new name to be one folks (even those who are not Moravian) can quickly recall!
There will be a box for your suggestions located in the room or you can submit your suggestion HERE. We look forward to your input and thought! Suggestions will be accepted through January 20th and the new name will be announced on January 27th.
