The Stewardship Committee of New Philadelphia began meeting year round in 2004. Their Mission Statement is the following:
The mission of the Stewardship Committee is to help all members grow in their faith journey and their response to God’s grace through applying their gifts to further the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The Stewardship Committee emphasizes a year round approach to Stewardship Education. Some of the benefits of year round education are the following:
- It allows time and creativity to address all aspects of stewardship during the year. We want members to see stewardship as our total response to God’s grace and gifts, not just our financial response.
- Year round stewardship education helps members to connect the meaning of Christian stewardship to other ministries of the congregation.
- Year round stewardship education helps to provide a balanced follow up and feed back to the congregation from our annual financial stewardship emphasis.
