Summer is a good time to work on projects for the bazaar. Bobbie Sapp has a sewing project that could be done at home. Also plant some extra fruits and vegetables in your garden this summer. We need jams, jellies, and canned vegetables for our fall bazaar.
Salemtowne is starting an “Adopt a Grandparent” program. They would like for each church to provide a volunteer twice a month to:
-Visit a resident at Salemtowne
-Send a card or cards to resident
-Place telephone calls to resident
They also need assistance with group activities. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Kay Brookshire, Volunteer Coordinator at Salemtowne.
We are going to be making curtains for Hurricane Katrina victims and others in need of window treatments. This will involve a Saturday workday. We need cutters, sewers and pressers. Contact Jane Wynne if you are interested in working on this sewing ministry project.
I hope all of you have a wonderful summer. Thank you again for your continued hard work, dedication and service to our Lord and New Philadelphia.
