Why a Lovefeast?      Because on May 12^th, 1727, the “Brotherly Agreement” (now known as the Moravian Covenant for Christian Living) was first signed.

On May 12^th, 1727, the people who lived in the community of Herrnhut couldn’t seem to get along or agree on anything. So, Count Zinzendorf came up with a document called the “Brotherly Agreement” and asked them all to sign it. And they all lived happily ever after? Well, not exactly, but God stepped in and 3 months later (on August 13^th, 1727) they felt God’s Spirit joining them together and they had… a Lovefeast!
