New Women’s Ministry Beginning at NPMC
A new women’s ministry is being formed for those who have experienced a devastating loss in their lives. This is not a grief share program but more of a women’s support and fellowship group. We will meet once a month beginning on Tuesday, November 1 at 6 p.m. in the church parlor.
At the November 1 meeting, we will share refreshments, have a time for getting to know one another, offer a short devotion and discussion. Our goal is to develop friendships to encourage and support one another. Our hope is to plan enjoyable activities such as dinner, movies, or service projects to offer fellowship. The group will be held to a high standard of confidentiality, providing a place where it is safe to share feelings, but it is not planned as a therapy group.
Who can come? Women of any age who have experienced a great loss at some time in their lives. God never intended for us to go through this journey alone. So no matter whether your journey started years ago or this year, healing can come through trusting God that he will put others in our paths who will support and understand us in our journey. Prayerfully consider whether God is calling you to be part of this ministry of healing through faith. For more information, contact Grace Shutt, Kay Windsor or the church office.
