September

  • South Fork Ministry Meeting: September 23 at 6:00 p.m. in the Friendship Room.
  • Apple Delivery: Apples from Frank Levering Orchard will be delivered to all South Fork scholars, faculty, staff, and preschool staff on September 30.

October

  • South Fork Ministry Meeting: October 21 at 6:00 p.m. in the Friendship Room.
  • South Fork Fall Festival: October 27
    • Volunteers are needed to read to classes during the school day. Bring your own book or choose one from the media center.
    • Volunteers are also needed that evening to hand out candy during the drive-through event.
  • Teacher Treats: Provided by the Discipleship Class.

November

  • Dolphins Care Thanksgiving Project
    • Donations of nonperishable food items are needed for 30 South Fork families.
    • Contributions toward perishable food purchases are also appreciated.
    • Volunteers are needed to deliver and distribute food on November 23.
    • Susie Tickle is coordinating this project.
    • Preschool families will provide paper towels, and our young children will make special cards for the families.
  • South Fork Family Feast: November 17
    • South Fork families are invited to a free school-sponsored feast.
    • Volunteers are needed to help serve food.
  • South Fork Ministry Meeting: November 18 at 6:00 p.m. in the Friendship Room.
  • Teacher Treats: Provided by the Discovery Class.

December

  • As in previous years, sponsors are needed for 30 South Fork scholars. Sponsors purchase toys and clothing based on a suggested wish list. Scholar names will be available in late November.
  • Wrapped gifts may be delivered to the library after Sunday School on December 13 and by 4:00 p.m. on December 14.
  • Volunteers are needed to load trucks, deliver gifts to South Fork, and assist with distribution.
  • Our preschool will provide paper towels, and our youth will fill candy bags for stockings.
  • The South Fork Ministry will purchase perishable and nonperishable food items. Donations are always appreciated.
  • Marla Sparks is coordinating this project.

Ongoing Opportunities

  • Tutors are always needed.
  • Partners at the Table (formerly Dolphin Dads) welcomes both men and women. Volunteers serve twice monthly by supervising the cafeteria, giving teachers a free lunch period.
