Thank you, Denise Hunt, for capturing Advent and Christmas scenes around New Philadelphia:
New Philadelphia Moravian Church is delighted to host Lovefeasts this year. We have options for people who are able to attend in person or folks may view through live streaming or watching the recording later.
In the spirit of love and care for one another we have outlined requirements to keep us all safe when attending the Lovefeasts that are in person and indoors.
Guidelines for Indoor/In person Lovefeasts (Registration CLOSED))
We will celebrate with hope, peace, joy and love the birth of our Saviour in many ways during this Advent and Christmas!
The Board of Elders of New Philadelphia Moravian Church
Twas the Sunday after Christmas
and all through the church,
the pastor was worried
and turned with a lurch;
he suddenly thought no one would attend
a Sunday morning service way before 10.
“Maybe if folks rest, it’ll feel like heaven;
they can sleep in a bit and get to church by 11.”
Sunday – December 26 – 11:00 a.m. Worship Service
Sunday, December 19 at 8:30 p.m.
Drive through the portico to pick up your bun, coffee, and candle; claim your parking spot, and join us outside for a Christmas Lovefeast ~ registration not required.
You’re welcome to bring a lawn chair and sit outside, weather permitting.
If you are unable to attend a Lovefeast service in-person, you may pick up a Lovefeast Box and join us as we live-stream our 4:00 p.m. service on December 24.
Pick up is between 10 a.m. and noon on December 24 – *First come – first served.
Pick up at our covered drive/portico to the left of the sanctuary at the church office entrance.
Join us this evening, Thursday, December 9 at 7:00 p.m. for Christmas Around the World. Festivities begin in the Banquet Room but who knows where we may end up!
The Gathering is a little something for everyone, so we will see you this evening!
What is it? An alternative worship and fellowship experience.
When is it? Every Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m.
Where is it? It begins in the Banquet Room (near the Fellowship Hall) but it sometimes ends up… anywhere!
Who should attend? Anyone! Everyone! (So far the ages of people attending has ranged from 5 to 91 and there has been something for all of them.)
Why should I come to the Gathering? Because it’s a great opportunity to gather (as the name implies) for a more casual, contemporary and creative time of worship and fellowship (and you never know when there might be refreshments!).
