Save the date: September 26 – for the annual New Friendship Class Yard Sale.
The class will accept donations of gently used items. Please do not bring items you wouldn’t consider purchasing yourself.
Beginning Friday, September 25 after 2 p.m., donations can be dropped off at the Pavilion. If you have large items, kindly check with Lance Jackson (336.575.3047 or lance.e.jackson@gmail.com) if you need help with pick-up or drop-off.
Below are items we will not accept:
- Alcoholic beverages or items related to alcohol (beer/liquor logo clocks, clothing, mugs, pictures, etc).
- Appliances that are stored outside the home. (We don’t accept dishwashers)
- Automotive hazardous waste such as tires, lead acid batteries, additives, gasoline, oils, antifreeze, etc.Baby Items: Cribs, car seats, walkers, playpens.
- BED GUIDELINES:
- No adjustable beds.
- No hospital beds.
- No mattresses/box springs that have rips, stains, tears, holes, bed bugs, etc.
- No headboards without footboards; no footboards without headboards
- Building Materials such as doors, windows, cabinets, screens, sinks, etc.
- Chemical products such as pesticides, paint, paint thinner, drain cleaner, oven cleaner, aerosols, etc.
- Clothing that is wet or moldy (clothes must be in bags or boxes)
- Desks: Computer or Office
- Exercise Equipment (e.g. treadmill, exercise bike, weight lifting gym).
- FURNITURE GUIDELINES:
- No oversized armoires/entertainment centers (size up to truck drivers’ discretion).
- No entertainment centers designed for tube TVs.
- No pressed board furniture.
- No wooden furniture that is cracked, chunks missing, overly scratched, etc.
- No upholstered furniture with rips, stains, tears, holes, etc.
- No tables without matching chairs; no chairs without matching tables
- Glucose testers or similar devices.
- Lawnmowers and other gasoline powered equipment.
- Mirrors that are unframed.
- Pianos/Organs (does not include portable electronic keyboards).
- Plumbing fixtures.
- Pornographic material.
- Potty chairs (adult & children’s).
- Printers / Copiers.
- Recyclables such as glass, newsprint, office paper, cardboard, plastics, magazines, junk mail, etc.
- Refrigerators / Freezers that are non-working or moldy.
- TV’s that do not work properly.
- Must be less than 7 years old and flat screen.
- No CRT and DLP TV’s, or rear-projection flat screen HDTVs.
- Weapons such as guns, bows and arrows, ammunition, hunting knives, etc.
